Sum ting about us
2 Friends and The Hedrick Court
Sumting Blue was founded in September 2025, when Malka and Alexis shared a big dream during a UCLA GE class. They put up recruitment posters across campus, which brought together nine more talented musicians.
Word spread the way it does on a campus with more gigs lined up and more members joining. Within a few months the duo had become an eleven-piece spanning freshmen to graduate students.
We play jazz standards fused with pop genre. Blending the best of both worlds. At UCLA sponsor events, local concerts, parties, and private events around Los Angeles.
Fun fact: We are spread out across 10 different majors at UCLA!
